The NIBObee is an autonomous robot particularly developed for pupils and students. It can be programmed in C, C++, Java, ARDUINO and assembler. The complete system includes an ATmega16 as „thinking“ unit, different sensors to percept its environment and an integrated USB programmer, which is additionally a battery charger for the accumulators. The hardware can be tested immediately after assembling for the microcontroller is already programmed with an initial testing program. Afterwards you can start directly with own programming.
„The robot kit NIBObee suits for everyone who likes to build an own robot system and who wants to get an easy and motivating access to microcontrollers and robotics.“Quick guide: NIBObee Coding Tutorial (german)
You can easily start programming with the interactive ↷NIBObee Coding Tutorial. It guides you through all functions of the robot and simultaneously you learn programming:
Fun with assembling
The circuit board of the robot is easy to solder. A construction manual with many illustrations explains the assembly and the necessary soldering work step by step. Beginners get a quick and motivating access to robotics, programming and electronics for the sensor system is easy to control and easy to program.
A transparent half sphere as dome and two feelers, which control four buttons, give the NIBObee his unmistakable appearance. The open source NIBObee-library implements all important basic functions. There is also a programming tutorial (german) in C for the first programming steps.
